Curriculum

Maria Ivana Lorenzetti è Ricercatore Universitario in Lingua Inglese (L-LIN/12). Ha ottenuto il Dottorato di Ricerca in Linguistica Inglese presso l'Università di Pisa.
I suoi principali interessi di ricerca sono negli ambiti del discorso politico, l'interfaccia sintassi-semantica, l'analisi testuale, la linguistica cognitiva e la traduzione, privilegiando un'analisi di tipo contrastivo tra più lingue.
Fa parte del Comitato Editoriale della Bibliography of Mtaphor and Metonymy (John Benjamins) ed è stata visiting scholar presso l'IPrA (International Pragmatics Association) Research Center, University of Antwerpen, Belgio e presso il Department of Linguistics della University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley).

Maria Ivana Lorenzetti is Assistant Professor in English Linguistics. She holds a Ph.D. in English Linguistics from the University of Pisa. Her main research interests are in the domains of political discourse, the syntax-semantics interface, textual analysis, cognitive linguistics and translation, and she often concentrates on the contrastive analysis of more languages.
She is member of the Editorial Board of the Bibliography of Metaphor and Metonymy (John Benjamins) and she has been visiting scholar at the IPrA (International Pragmatics Association) Research Center, University of Antwerpen, Belgio and at the Department of Linguistics, at University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley).
