Topic Description Research area
Russian-Italian Linguistic contacts The research in this field aims at analyzing Italian loanwords in Russian language starting in the 18th century and up to the present day. The diacronic analysis is accompanied by the investigation of the historical and sociolinguistic framework, which allows a better understanding both of the changes in the reception of Italian culture by Russian culture and of the evolution of loanwords and of their diversification in different thematic areas, at times distant from each other.
