The project aims at investigating the interdisciplinary character of the contemporary revision of fairy tales. It will focus on the context of the medical humanities and see how characters and stories from the literary tradition are exploited for health communication purposes and present new kinds of relationships within the community. The fairy tale becomes an interpretative framework to understand and articulate identities, constantly renewing itself and its narrative modalities and strategies to adapt to new contexts: in particular, it proves useful to allow the elaboration of different strategies for the communication and treatment of different ailments as well as for the field of prevention through the use of different media.
