The project aims at exploring the ways that make eating and thinking about food reveal culturally determined power relations in different societies. A cross-cultural approach will lead to investigate compelling questions about social values and issues related to the many different facets of food in literature, science, biotechnology, marketing, jurisprudence, and art.
