The first part (modulo 1) of the course aims at establishing a basic knowledge of the problems related to the production and circulation of literary texts (palaeography and codicology, history of the printed book, textual critcism, literary authorship); the second part (modulo 2) of the course features a more specific approach, in which philological tools are applied to the literary and textual issues of some Italian short stories from the Middle Ages and the early Renaissance periods. A selection of texts will be provided.
