  • 19) DH and textual scholarship: methodologies and foundational data for textual analysis and interpretation
  • 20) technologies at play when facing a digital edition: from the markup to the publication

22-23 maggio. Aula 1.6 h. 10-12: HOW TO PUBLISH A DIGITAL SCHOLARLY EDITION? A SURVEY ON THE EXISTING FRAMEWORKS

  • 22) A survey of existing frameworks to publish encoded texts. Some examples on transformations of XML files into HTML with CSS, JQuery, and Javascript (TEIViewer, TEI Boilerplate)
  • 23) Online publishing platforms and more sophisticated frameworks (CETEIcean, Version Machine, Edition Visualization Technology,TEI Publisher)

28-29 maggio. Aula 1.6 h. 10-12: DH, INCLUSION AND MINIMAL COMPUTING. WORKSHOP ON STATIC SITE DSE

  • 28 y 29) hands-on experience: students will work with the static site generator Jekyll, with the Ed template, and consider the affordances at play of the so-called “minimal computing” in terms of accessibility and sustainability.
