This paper illustrates a language study based on a corpus of comics and mini comics that deal with both autobiographical and realistic topics, all located in urban milieus of the 1990s. The analysis considers the linguistic features that emerge as recurrent traits of interpersonal exchanges, oral storytelling and casual conversations in the corpus dedicated to typical urban everyday life.
