This study illustrates how the comic has become a pertinent form for raising awareness and visibility of social problems. The article first reflects on the comic as a means of expression and the loosening of genres in the ninth art. This is followed by an evidenced analysis of the most interesting achievements of the seven stories in Viñetas de vida, a collective work in which ten cartoonists and scriptwriters depict the reality of international cooperation: its positive impact on the lives of millions of people, how it works, and how it saves lives. This collection is, therefore, a testimonial in comic form from a group of socially committed cartoonists, a comic in which each story has its own style, not only in terms of the graphic language used, but also in the way each one narrates the experiences of their trip to a developing country.
