The project "Contrastive grammar German-Armenian" focuses on basic aspects of the contrastive grammar German-Armenian and on those aspects of Armenian grammar which lack up-to-date descriptions corresponding to the standards of modern international linguistics. Main research topics are agreement, voice and family-name grammar. The project is realized within the framework of a cooperation agreement between the University of Verona and Yerevan Brusov State University. The project includes the study of the sociolinguistic situation in Armenia which is characterized by a widespread bilingualism Armenian-Russian.
