My PhD project aims to integrate distributional semantic models, vector-based representations of meaning built on co-occurrence data, to the field of discourse analysis as powerful tools to explore linguistic data in context and to apply further computational techniques such as machine learning. In particular, I apply different models and model configurations to specific discourse contexts related to social media and queer linguistics to demonstrate their functionality.
