Curriculum

La prof.ssa Federica Zoppi si occupa di letteratura spagnola del Siglo de Oro, con particolare attenzione per i temi riguardanti Cervantes, a cui ha dedicato la sua tesi di dottorato, Risa, sonrisa, ironía en el Quijote. Burlas de acción y burlas de palabras, che ha ricevuto il VI Premio Internacional «Academia del Hispanismo» de Tesis Doctoral de Investigación Científica y Crítica sobre Literatura Española nel 2015. Si dedica anche allo studio dei libri di cavalleria, spagnoli e italiani, collaborando con il Progetto Mambrino (www.mambrino.it) dell'Università di Verona e con il gruppo Clarisel dell'Universidad de Zaragoza, presso cui ha lavorato come ricercatrice con una Marie Skłodowska Curie Individual Fellowship, vinta nell’ambito del programma europeo Horizonte 2020 (call for proposal H2020-MSCA-IF-2017, Grant agreement ID: 794868, progetto di ricerca biennale: Comic Motifs in Romances of Chivalry of Spanish Golden Age). In questi due ambiti, uno degli aspetti maggiormente esplorati è la discussione sul riso e sulla comicità, analizzata anche da un punto di vista teorico nell'ambito dei secoli XVI e XVII tra Italia e Spagna. Dal punto di vista delle linee tematiche che dirigono la sua ricerca, oltre alla comicità, si segnala, infatti, anche lo studio dei rapporti letterari tra Italia e Spagna, soprattutto nell'ambito della traduzione, tanto dei libri di cavalleria, come anche della picaresca. La sua formazione si è diretta anche alle Digital Humanities, in particolare con il conseguimento del titolo di Máster en Humanidades Digitales nel 2019 presso la UNED (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia) di Madrid.

Research groups

Mambrino Project
MAMBRINO PROJECT http://www.mambrino.it/ deals with the continuations and translations of the Spanish chivalric novel in 16th century Italy. The corpus includes about fifty Italian prose novels. Publishes since 2013 the scientific journal "HISTORIAS FINGIDAS" classified by ANVUR in band A and annually organizes a seminar of the same title. http://historiasfingidas.dlls.univr.it/index.php/hf/index Since 2018 Mambrino Project has signed an agreement with the European project READ Transkribus for research on character recognition in ancient books https://transkribus.eu/Transkribus/.
