Curriculum

Anna Cappellotto is Associate Professor of Germanic Philology and Linguistics. Her research focuses on the reception of Antiquity in the Germanic Middle Ages (Ovid, Virgil), especially in the Middle High German context, and on the development of the legend of Theoderic of Verona in the Germanic and Nordic traditions. She also studies the theory and practice of scholarly editing of Germanic vernacular traditions, with a focus on document-oriented editions (fragments, illustrated manuscripts, manuscript traditions with high textual variability). She specialises in digital philology and she works specifically on text representation through XML/TEI encoding standards. She has recently started working on digital scholarly editions, accessibility, and inclusion. She works in the team of the project "Les Metamorfosis d’Ovidi en vernacle transformades per la impremta" (Universitat de Barcelona).
