Title. “FAIRY TALES IN THE POSTMODERN WORLD: From Novel to film
The course will take into consideration a literary production that has not been examined during the undergraduate course: the study of fairy tales and of their re-reading in the postmodern period. It will have a monographic perspective. The lessons will be in English.
The course intends to start with the definition of the concept of tradition and its revision in the postmodern period. Its focus will be on the theories concerning the fairy tale as a Literary genre. It will move from the traditional fairy tale to its re-reading also through movies.

MODALITA’ DIDATTICHE:
The lessons will be ex cathedra, but will be open to the students’ observations. They will also offer some critical instruments through which students can analyze texts also on their own. The professor will regularly receive students two hours a week: the timetable will be published on the department website
