The course aims at improving the knowledge of Russian morphology and its verbal system, with a particular focus on verbal aspect and verbs of motion.
The mains topics of the course will be: verbal prefixation and the concept of aspect, first applied to lexical verbs, and then to verbs of motion.
Other topics: adjective (comparative, superlative, short form); numeral (cardinal and ordinal), expressions of time, participles and gerunds, imperative.
Teaching modality: frontal lessons, exercises, reading, translation, and analysis of literary texts

The final exam aims at assessing the theoretical knowledge acquired by the students during the course, as well as their ability to apply such knowledge to concrete literary text.
The assessment is carried out by an oral examination. The questions will deal with any of the topics mentioned in the program.
During the interview, the student will be asked to read, translate and analyse from a linguistic pint of view the literary texts proposed during the classes.
The assessment will consider the following criteria:
- Content correctness and completeness
- Achievement of adequate analysis abilities
- Clarity in the exposition, arguing ability and knowledge of the subject-specific lexicon.
