Learning outcomes

Acquisition of a theoretical framework for the identification of different types of phraseological units

Syllabus

Phraseology

The course will offer an outline of the different kinds of phraseological units (locutions, collocations, 'pragmatèmes', 'clichés' and proverbs) with exemples from French.
The identification of phraseological units will be done within the theoretical framework of the Meaning Text Theory and of the Explanatory and Combinatorial Lexicology.
