Learning outcomes

The course will explore representative aspects of latinamerican women writer’s life and work; women writers that were determinant for the cultural story fo the american continent. The study of heir works, rappresentative of different periods, genres and regional spaces, intends establish rich and problematic articolations of the general panorama of the cultural area. We will discusse some critic notions as ‘foundation’, ‘canon’, ‘plurality’ and ‘decentralisation’ in order to establish some connection with the sociocultural context of the moment and to analize the different discorsive strategies evident in the women writers selected.

Educational objectives
The scope of the course are: to introduce the students to the teories of the femmine subject; to encourage the student to study the latinamerican literature from a problematic and stimolating point of view; to develop a small personal research.

Assessment methods and criteria

Exam methods

In the oral examination that will be in Spanish, the students will have to explain and translate some part of the literary texts and comment the critical articles. The students will have to present an oral or written research.
