The course aims to present the evolution of theatrical art in Paris from classicism up to the XXth century: we will study the history of the main lieux de spectacle in the French capital and we will read and analyse some important scenes or pièces to give an introductory overview of the importance and the evolutions in theatrical art during this period. All lessons will be in French.
Module 1 (CFU 3): theatrical evolution in Paris from classicism up to the end of XVIIIth century.
Moduel 2 (CFU 3): theatrical evolution in Paris from XIXth up to XXth century.
Further information and bibliographic materials will be given at the begining of the course.
Oral exam in French language.
