Learning outcomes

EDUCATIONAL AIMS:
The course is articulated in a single module. At the centre of the chosen texts (Spaziergang nach Syrakus by Johann Gottfried Seume, Reise von München nach Genua by Heinrich Heine and some works by Friedrich Nietzsche) lies the image of Italy in nineteenth-century’s German literature. The course intends to analyse the metamorphosis of this image during the nineteenth-century.
