Learning outcomes

The course is made up of 2 modules of 3 ECTS credits each, for a total of 6 credits.

- Module 1 offers a brief introduction to the major literary and cultural movements in England which includes critical readings of specific texts from Shakespeare to the Romantics:

- Module 2 deals with the fantastic and the supernatural in two Gothic novels (The Monk by M. G. Lewis and Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley).
