The group conducts international research on modern and contemporary US literature and culture, bringing together disability studies, health humanities, crisis studies, intermediality, fashion, law, ecology, and posthuman perspectives. Its activities include participation in conferences, international networks, and competitive research projects. Its outputs include monographs, edited volumes, special journal issues, and scholarly articles. Its impact lies in methodological innovation, interdisciplinary dialogue, and scholarly dissemination. Several members of the group also serve on the editorial board of Iperstoria, a scholarly journal recognised by ANVUR as a Class A journal.
