The project "14x14" focuses in particular on the performance offerings and the reception arrangements made for the Grand-dukes-travellers at each venue, given their reputation as inveterate music lovers. These initiatives are attested to by various sources, which this project aims to leverage for both scholarly and educational purposes: - diaries and memoirs, - legal and administrative documents, - periodical press' - institutional and private correspondence, - iconography and cartography, - music sources. Through research, systematization, and study of these materials, "14x14" reconstructs and contextualizes the events arranged at each stop, narrates them, and, based on this, develops tourist itineraries that bring the Grand Tour sites to life, promoting a type of tourism that spreads from major centers to smaller ones, highlighting their attractions and potential.
