This course intends to broaden and deepen participants’ knowledge of journalism in the digital age. It covers technical, communicative and linguistic aspects of information in the digital age, with a note on multimodality in web journalism. Experts and professionals working in the field will address the new frontiers of participatory journalism. In addition, the course touches on social media, online reputation, intercultural globalised journalism and aspects of information law, focusing on legal vocabulary linked to the profession of journalism in the digital age. Lectures taught in English give the course an international angle. Participants will thus be able to expand their knowledge of journalistic jargon in English.
