Curriculum

Renzo Miotti teaches Spanish language and Spanish linguistics in the BA and MA courses run by the Department of Foreign languages and Literatures. He has collaborated with the C.N.R., Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (Padua) in the field of prelinguistic phonetic development, and with the AMPER  project (Projet d’un Atlas Multimédia Prosodique de l’Espace Roman / Proyecto de Atlas Multimedia de Prosodia del Espacio Románico). At present he collaborates with Prof. L. Canepari (University of Venice) and he applies his "Natural Phonetic Method" to the description of the phonetics of Spanish and its varieties and to the teaching of pronunciation. Main scientific interests: Description of the phonetics of Spanish and its varieties, Phonetic and phonological change, Analysis of interlanguages/Phonetic interference in the acquisition of Spanish as a second language, Pronunciation teaching.
