Curriculum

My scientific interests have centred on early modern and Restoration dramatic and literary culture, with a focus on Shakespeare and on Jacobite literature. I also studied the relationship between madness and autobiography in seventeenth-century England and the presence of Biblical echoes in Victorian literature. I am also working in the field of adaptation studies and am currently developing two distinct research projects on Shakespeare in eighteenth-century theatre and the reception of Shakespearean dramaturgy on the nineteenth-century Italian stage.
