The research concentrates on a comparative analysis of Sophocles’ Oedipus at Colonus and Shakespeare’s King Lear with a focus upon thematic, dramatic, genetic, cultural, performative and translative issues. Topics include: the relation between fathers and sons/daughters, madness and wisdom of power, being and non-being in human and divine time.
