I am currently working as a post-doc research fellow at the University of Verona on "AlpiLinK" project, a multidisciplinary project mapping dialects and minority languages in the Alpine region. This project integrates innovative approaches to preserve linguistic heritage also through collaborations with local institutions, schools, and eco-museums, while focusing on linguistic landscapes and community engagement.I have nevertheless a strong background in language policy and minority languages, with a particular focus on the sociolinguistics of German and Italian in the context of European and global political relations. My PhD work examined the strategic role of language in international relations & diplomacy, with special attention to the language policy of Germany, Austria and Italy, also considering the German-speaking minority in South Tyrol. Additionally, I was a contract lecturer for two years at the University of Udine, teaching German language, linguistics, and the history of the German language in the Department of Languages and Literatures. Alongside my research, I have over ten years of teaching experience in German language teaching at Italy's secondary schools and have managed international projects, including an Interreg collaboration with Austria. My academic career is also enriched by expertise in organising academic events and supervising postgraduate research on language protection.
