I am a PhD student and research assistant at the Philipps-Universität Marburg (Germany) and I take part to the "International Doctoral Track in Linguistics" (IDT, Universita di Verona-Philipps-Universität Marburg- Freie Universität Bozen) as an exchange doctoral student. From 1st February to 31st Mai I was hosted at the University of Verona for a reseatch stay.

Doctorate research program:

My research field covers the sociophonetic aspects of language contact, with particular regard to the interaction between the Italian (L1) and German (LX) phonological systems. My research project ("Dynamics and Stability of language representations in Italian-German language contact: a psycholinguistic and sociophonetic analysis of /ə/ and /y/ ") aims at investigating if and how sociolinguistic factors (like language competence and experience) potentially influence the perception and production of foreign sounds. It is framed within the larger research program of the Research Training Group 2700  "Dynamics and Stability of Linguistic Representations".
