Il mio progetto di ricerca si propone di studiare l'affidabilità di quattro dignostiche di inaccusatività, ossia (i) la cliticizzazione con il ne, (ii) la selezione degli ausiliari, (iii) l'accordo sul participio passato e (iv) i participi assoluti, valutando il loro stato riguardo alla intransitività scissa e, in ultima analisi, fornendo un nuovo approccio allo studio dell’inaccusatività nelle lingue romanze. Il progetto si concentrerà sui fattori sintattici/semantici che influenzano il fenomeno dell’intransitività scissa, analizzandone il ruolo e la stabilità a livello interlinguistico. Infine, il progetto si concentrerà sui modelli di rappresentazione della struttura argomentale, con l'obiettivo di determinare quale modello possa descrivere meglio la sintassi dell’inaccusatività in un quadro generativo.
My research project aims to investigate the reliability of four unaccusativity diagnostics, i.e., (i) ne-cliticization, (ii) auxiliary selection, (iii) past participle agreement, and (iv) participial absolutes, assessing their status concerning split-intransitivity and, ultimately, providing a novel account of unaccusativity across Romance. The project will focus on the syntactic/semantic factors that affect split-intransitivity, evaluating their role and stability cross-linguistically. Finally, the project will focus on models of argument structure representation, aiming to determine which model best fits the syntax of split-intransitivity within a generative framework.

Mi sono laureata in Lingue e Letterature Straniere nel 2019 con una tesi triennale sul contatto linguistico nei parlanti d’eredità italo-canadesi e, successivamente, mi sono laureata nel 2022 in linguistica con una tesi sulla sintassi nel clitico ne come diagnostica di inaccusatività. Attualmente, sono iscritta al Corso di dottorato in “Linguistica” dell’Università di Verona. I miei interessi di ricerca riguardando: la sintassi delle lingue romanze, la struttura argomentale, heritage languages e la linguistica storica.
I graduated in Foreign Languages and Literatures in 2019 with a thesis on language contact in Italo-Canadian heritage speakers, and subsequently graduated in 2022 in linguistics with a thesis on syntax in clitic ne as a diagnostic of unaccusativity. Currently, I am enrolled in the PhD program in "Linguistics" at the University of Verona. My research interests concern: Romance syntax, argument structure, heritage languages, and historical linguistics.
