Doctorate research program
My main interest is to make critical reflections on the ways of theorising syntax. This has led me to confront how different frameworks analyze a common empirical topic, i.e. Greenberg's Universal 20. My research focus is thus twofold. On the one hand, the empirical data provide crucial insights for the various predictions made about U20. On the other hand, any formal approach that tries to capture the data may show theoretical advantages and drawbacks that require further investigation.
