My doctoral thesis project is based on the study of diatopic varieties, cultural representations, and inclusion in the teaching practice of Spanish as a foreign language. Specifically, the research focuses on the impact of cultural representations on the identity of heritage speakers within educational contexts of secondary education in the territory of Verona. For this purpose, it is relevant to study how the diatopic varieties of heritage speakers enrich the experience of Spanish as a pluricentric reality within the classroom, and how the teaching and evaluation of cultural elements can promote the connection with the own culture of heritage language students.
