German literature between First and Second World War.
We will cover the period from the end of World War 1 to the rise of Nazism. The historical time of Weimar Republic can be seen as the crisis of German democracy and the rise of totalitarianism, but also as a “workshop of modernity”, a cultural and aesthetical revolution in the fields of literature, theatre, cinema and graphic arts.
