LUNEDì ore 10.30-12.30 studio 3.04 terzo piano, palazzo di Lingue. 

Al termine del periodo di lezione la docente riceve solo su appuntamento. Gli studenti e le studentesse sono pregati di contattare la docente via email per concordare un appuntamento. 

Curriculum

Beatrice Melodia Festa insegna Letteratura Anglo-americana all'Università di Verona e all'Università di Parma. Dal 2018 è docente a contratto di Lingua Inglese all'Università di Verona e ha insegnato Letteratura anglo-americana all'Università di Bari. Ha conseguito un Dottorato di ricerca in Lingue, letterature e culture straniere moderne presso l'Università di Verona e un Master of Arts in American studies ottenuto dopo un periodo di studio presso l'Università di New York nell'ambito del corso di laurea magistrale in Letterature Europee, Americane e Postcoloniali titolo conseguito presso l'Università Ca' Foscari di Venezia. I suoi principali interessi di ricerca comprendono letteratura americana, tecnologia, virtuale e new media a cui ha dedicato la monografia The Evolution of Virtual Identity in American Literature (Ombre Corte, 2022); la letteratura americana contemporanea (cyberfiction, Afrofuturism, rapporti tra tecnologia, virtuale e African-American culture); Edith Wharton e William Faulkner a cui è dedicata la monografia William Faulkner sul grande schermo. Adattamenti,rivisitazioni, trasposizioni (La Bottega Editoriale, 2023). Attualmente si occupa di adattamento cinematografico, intermedialità, letteratura americana e arti visive (cinema e letteratura). E’ membro della redazione di Iperstoria- Journal of American and English Studies.
