The course aims to examine, through some intertextual and interdiscursive analyses, the genesis and evolution of a modern literary myth, that of Don Giovanni, from the first literary work in which he makes his appearance (Tirso de Molina), through the rewriting by Moliere and the libretto by Da Ponte-Mozart, to get to the exaltation of the character in the romantic period (Baudelaire, Hoffmann) and finally to its parodic deconstruction in contemporary times (Shaw, Brancati ).
