At the end of the course students are expected to:
- acquire the epistemological foundations of language teaching and of the historic development of language teaching methodology
- be able to put into relationship the theory and the implications for teaching practice, to analyze teaching materials, to examine a situation in order to set a teaching intervention and work out relevant exercises and activities, calibrated on learners’ specific needs;
- develop critical judgments on the effectiveness and adequacy of teaching interventions with respect to the subjects to whom they are addressed.
