The course introduces students to the main concepts of Sociolinguistics, with regard to the Spanish-speaking world.

Assessment will be by written exam. Assessment of linguistic competence (students of Spanish Linguistics LM37 only) will be based on certificates (C2) issued by the CLA (the University Linguistic Centre) or by the Instituto Cervantes.
