Educational objectives
The course will offer a panoramic view of the latinamerican poetry of the XXth Century through a research of the theory and the criticism regarding the authors selected for the course.

Themes, forms of Hispanic-American XXth century poetry

The program is divided into three sections of 12 hours each. Due to the will of promoting internationalization, three teachers will be in charge of the course: Andrea Ostrov, professor of the Buenos Aires University, for the first part; Luca Salvi, researcher of the University of Verona, for the second; María Cecilia Graña, Professor of the University of Verona, for the third and last part of the course.
The course also includes an active participation of the scholars: in the first part a reflection on some of the articles of the critical bibliography will be requested; in the second, the reading and discussing of some theoretical articles or the translation of some poetic texts of the corpus; in the last part, the writing of a brief text on a specific theme or formal aspect of the analized texts.
For the final exam, it will be required the reading of all the primary texts, the choice of two articles from the critical bibliography and one from the theoretical bibliography. (The texts will be available in the e-learning section).

Assessment methods and criteria

Exam methods
The oral exam will be done in Spanish and will evaluate not only the comment and interpretation of the poems and the general criticism but also the associative capacities of the student. The exam also will test the capacities of the student to comment and analize a latinamerican novel.
