Learning outcomes

The course aims at providing a basic knowledge of Chinese phonetics, writing and grammar. It will lead the students to acquire a fundamental knowledge of the Chinese language, written and spoken, and it will create the conditions for an independent use of the main syntactical structures.

Syllabus

Lectures on the Chinese phonetics, writing and grammar. Sentence structures, verbal and nominal predicates, particles, nominal and verbal determination, some basic complement. Grammar exercises, along with applied language activities on spoken and written language, will enable the students to effectively grasp the main communicative functions and an elementary lexicon.
