This course focuses on cities, their history and developments they went through between the 18th and 20th Century. In particular it looks at developments such as growing interdependence, expansion in size and acceleration in socio-economic dynamics, thus highlighting the deep social, economic, political and cultural transformations which affected the urban landscape in the period examined.
