To provide key issues, concepts and techniques of textual analysis based on Halliday’s model of Systemic Functional Grammar.

An introduction to Systemic Functional Grammar:
- socio-semantic approach
- clause constituents
- ideational metafunction
- interpersonal metafunction
- textual metafunction
- grammatical metaphor
