Learning outcomes

“Daughters, wives and outsiders: gender and ethnic hierarchy”
The course aims at exploring, through analyses of selected texts, some representations of women perceived as “otherness” and subjected to the patriarchal and orientalist authority of Imperial and Victorian England.
