Learning outcomes

The lesson 'Identities through English 4: Multimodality, identity, and affiliation' aims at introducing the tools for analysis of a multimodal composition in interaction with the English language and its efficacy and efficiency in building the identity and bondage in popular culture, affiliation in humour and rap music and identity mangement in English language texts. At the end of the lesson students will have acquired the procedural knowledge of the application of analytical tools that have the specific purpose of revealing the linguistic and multimodal construction/deconstruction and destruction of identities through English.
