The project investigates issues of power, legitimacy, subjectivity, agency, and ethos in relation to the ideas of kinghsip and tyranny across time and different cultures. It especially focuses upon Classical and Early Modern theatre, as well as on their intermedial and intercultural reception, with a distinctly comparative approach.
