In the context of the Renaissance theatre, the body come powerfully to the forefront both concretely as the actors' body and metaphorically as the privileged cultural metaphor to address social, political and gender issues. The project aims at investigating the passage from text to stage and the performative strategies connected to such process both in the Renaissance context and in contemporary adaptations.
