The book analyses persuasive texts in pseudo-dialogic format from the perspective of mutlimodali linguistics. The process of legitimation in persuasivse texts and argumentative procedures is described according to the ideational, interactional and textual metafunctions. A comparison between transcripts of conversations from CANCODE corpus and scripted conversations is also revealing of their different features.
