Starting from a textual and critical discourse analysis perspective, this project aims at investigating political discourse and its subgenres (political speeches, parliamentary debates, political interviews),in order to delineate its characterising features, rhetorical and linguistic strategies employed by politicians of different orientation from a contrastive perspective (English/Italian). Mixed text types and hybrid genres, such as political journalism, are also considered, evaluating new emerging trends, such as the use of irony. Costo previsto per le missioni: 8000 euro
