“Legal Perspectives on Renaissance Theatre”

Literature and law have always influenced each other and the recent flourishing of critical analysis on the comparison between the two fields acknowledges the importance of this branch of comparative study. The aim of the course is to analyse some legal elements inherent in Renaissance theatre, such as the problems concerning the relationship between fathers and daughters or those concerning power and legitimacy.
