Learning outcomes

The main aim of this course is to introduce students to the analysis of the German morphological system.

Syllabus

Il sistema morfologico del tedesco. Introduzione all'analisi morfologica”.

Il corso introduce alcuni concetti fondamentali della morfologia, come morfo, morfema, allomorfo, affisso, processo produttivo ecc. e descrive la struttura delle parole morfologicamente complesse. I seguenti processi morfologici sono trattati in modo dettagliato: derivazione, flessione, composizione, conversione, Ablaut, Umlaut, riduzioni di parola. Il corso prevede esercitazioni pratiche di analisi morfologica.

Il programma del corso è identico per gli studenti frequentanti e non frequentanti.

Assessment methods and criteria

Final exams throughout the year are oral. Students who attend classes regularly are offered the possibility to take a written final exam immediately after the end of the course. For the oral exam students have to prepare a topic of their choice in German.

Required linguistic competence

Linguistic competence required: level B2, certified either by the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo (CLA) or by any other authorized testing centre.
