Alice Fiorentino ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca presso l'Università francese di Reims Champagne-Ardenne. I suoi interessi di ricerca comprendono la glottodidattica, la didattica plurilingue ed in particolar modo l'analisi del multilinguismo ricettivo, sia come strategia comunicativa in contesti di contatto sia come approccio di insegnamento (intercomprensione). Attualmente lavora come assegnista di ricerca al progetto IMPACT VENETO, per il quale si occupa di mappare e descrivere le pratiche di didattica di italiano lingua seconda adottate nei principali percorsi di formazione.
